Making Plans

Traven leads me slowly through the tunnels, back to his home. Abby took off to find her friends, leaving us alone. He hasn’t stopped touching me since he came back to the room with Dr. Slade, who released me into Traven’s care once we promised that I would come and see him again in a couple of days.

“Almost there,” he says and pulls me closer.

We pass a lot of people in the tunnels who all ask how I am feeling. Apparently, Traven had the entire community searching for me when I went missing. That makes me feel even more guilty for how selfish I was in my actions.

When we finally make it back to their room, he scoops me into his arms and carries me inside.

“Welcome home, Z.”

I laugh as he spins me around in his arms.

“I never thought I would have a home,” I say and it’s true.

“Zinley,” he says with concern as his smile fades.

“I’m not sad, Traven. I’m happy. And I’m not saying that so that you feel sorry for me. The exact opposite actually. You have given me so much in such a short amount of time. And I don’t just mean things like this… a home. I mean you have given me life and hope and love.”

He smiles, leaning down to kiss me. When he pulls back, I continue. “When I was in the lab, I never let myself wish for things. I honestly didn’t know how to. I tried not to think about my future because I had no idea what that held. But now that I am with you, it’s all I can think about. You make me want things, Traven. You make me want it all.”

He doesn’t give me time to breathe once the last word is out. His mouth descends on mine with such fervor, with such passion. He only pulls back to speak a few words before he dives back in.

“I will give you the world, Z. I love you.”

He takes me over to the bed and lays me down. He comes down over me and his body weight anchors me in this moment. His kiss is wild and untamed, his movements are rushed. He pulls his shirt off, tearing it in the process. I get my first look at him, and I am not disappointed. There are muscles everywhere, he looks as if he is cut from stone. I worry for a moment that he will be disappointed with me, but that thought goes out the window when he kisses me again.

Before I know it, we are both naked. I cover myself, looking towards the open doorway to their room. He chuckles, getting up to close the curtain, blocking us from the rest of the world. I can’t help but stare at the globes of his ass as he moves.

“See something you like?” he asks with a smirk when he catches me ogling him.
